Lough Derg, Irelands Pleasure Lake, is just a short distance away and offers all water sport enthusiasts plenty of opportunities to partake in a wide variety of activities such as Sailing Lessons,Yacht Cruises, Sailing Craft Hire and Sightseeing Cruises on Lough Derg.

We can organise boat hire and gillies for fishing in nearby Lough Derg through Irish Fishing Tours. Refrigerator for bait storage, drying area & packed lunches can be provided.

Sub Aqua Diving enthusiasts are catered for in the newly developed and Irelands first inland Dive Centre. Located in the old slate quarries near Portroe, Contact Portroe Sub Aqua Centre for further details.

For the golf enthusiast, there is a multitude of golf courses within 45 minutes drive,with Nenagh’s 18 hole championship course is 6 miles away where tee off times can be booked in advance. See Nenagh Golf Club for more details. Thurles and Roscrea 18 hole courses are within 30 minutes drive of Willowbrook.

Walkers are catered for with numerous walks available through the Silvermines Mountains, the Clare Glens, the Slieve Felim way (18 Miles) and the Lough Derg way (20 Miles) all finishing locally. If you would like to take a more leisurely stroll there are a large variety of local walks from 1 mile in length upward, which should suit everyone.Willowbrook Facebook page contains photos taken on some of the hikes availably locally.

Cycling is well catered for with 3 new cycling routes established and centered in the Nenagh area.
These routes range from 11Km to 67Km in length with routes 1 and 2 offering stunning views of Lough Derg.Visit Cycling around Nenagh for more details. Other popular cycling routes include the Clare Glens cycle (30 Miles), the HolyCross cycle (28 Miles)and the Keeper Hill cycle (36 Miles). There are a vast number of variations to the mentioned routes available to suit all levels of enthusiast whether in distance or difficulty.

Historical sites such as Birr Castle Demesne, King Johns' Castle, Limerick,
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Clonmacnoise Monastic Site, Holy Cross Abbey,Cahir Castle, The Swiss Cottage and Rock of Cashel are all within 1 hour of Willowbrook.
